GETTING THERE:

There is a shuttle bus from White Sands to the Resort.
Therefore, you can take the shuttle bus from White Sands.
If you don't know where the shuttle bus is, ask the MRT Staff or at the interchange.
If you're coming by car, your parents should know where it is located at.
If they are unsure about the location, do not hesitate to ring me.
However, if you don't have my handphone number, ask some of your friends that have.

Hey there!
Currently, there is something that we need to discuss with
all of you as a class. It is bout having a class tee.
You might think that it is very odd to have get class tee when it is already
the end of year but we just want to think of something memorable to bring along with you for the next few years.
We cant think of anything else so some people in the class suggested a
class tee. Right, so now go think about what colour and material you want for it.
Btw, please help ask our mates who does not drop by the class blog about having a class tee and let me know ASAP.

Maybe if the class tee is produced before Carin's chalet, we could wear it!

Last day of school, finally!
But however..those days we had were really fun.
The scoldings we had from Ms Tay, Mr Chai, Mr Lee, Mdm Haijar & all,
the laughter we shared when cracking jokes,
the naughty plans that we planned in getting rid of Mr Lee, & all.
Those days will be remembered.

Teen dies in fatal car crash

HE WAS 16, did not have a driving licence, and ignored friends who told him to stop driving his older brother's car around.

But Yeo Ken How, a Secondary 4 student of Bedok South Secondary School, did not listen.

On Monday afternoon, the first day of the one-week school break, he sneaked a drive in his brother's Suzuki Swift.

It would be his last.

And in a twist of fate, two of his schoolmates who had warned him several times not to drive chanced upon the crash site, immediately recognised the car, and had their worst fears confirmed.

It was not clear where Ken How was headed, but around 1.30pm, he lost control of his brother's blue Suzuki Swift along Bedok South Road and slammed into a tree.

The impact of the accident crushed the driver's side of the car, killing the boy instantly. He was travelling alone.

His body had to be extricated from the mangled wreckage by Singapore Civil Defence Force officers using hydraulic cutters.

The crash site was just 2km away from Ken How's home at Bedok North Street 1.

Attitude in self

It is wise to remember that exams are not there as punishment. Instead, they are a good way of testing to see how much information you have learnt.

Start studying early
Use your class notes and textbooks
Make a timetable for the period you are studying
Work together. For example, form a small group
Review all the materials at least once after your main study session
Think up a few questions you might be asked on you exam, and try answering them
Keep cool and calculated

Avoiding Stress

Although examinations can be stressful, there are ways to avoid stress. Revision before hand is very helpful, as is group discussion. In the exam it helps to make a good plan, including points, because should you fail to finish in time, the plan and points can gain you some marks. Always go for the question you are sure of.

Relaxation

Allow yourself time for relaxation and thinking
Use strategies like deep breathing to overcome panic
Visualise yourself in positive and relaxing situations

Study Group

Set up a study group with a few other students in your lecture group. This is also a good way for meeting people, and making new friends.

Revise

Start revising early as this is connected to good time management skills. Allow plenty of time to revise. Do not leave anything to the last minute as it is really not beneficial
Stop work every hour for a break. Get up, walk around, have a cup of something

Timetable

Revise your subjects equally. Do not avoid your weaker subjects nor be overconfident about your stronger ones.
Include spare days in your revision plan which you can use to catch up on any topic that needs extra attention.

SPOIL YOURSELF AND REDUCE ANXIETY!

Don't get panic when the paper comes to you, just calm down.

Three gunmen and three Turkish policemen were killed on Wednesday in an attack outside the well-fortified US consulate in Istanbul that was condemned by US and Turkish officials as a "terrorist" act.

Officials have not yet made a statement on who was behind the attack and what the motive was, but media reports said police suspected it could be the work of Al-Qaeda.

The assailants, armed with guns and rifles, targetted a police guard post next to the high-walled mission in the upscale district of Istinye, Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler said.

Driving to the front of the consulate in a car, they emerged from the vehicle and opened fire at the post around 11:00am (0800 GMT), witnesses told NTV television, adding that they had also fired shots at the building.

The security forces returned fire, killing all three gunmen. A driver escaped in the car after the shoot-out, which lasted several minutes.

One policeman died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries in hospital, Guler said.

Two other people - a policeman and the civilian driver of a police truck - were injured, he said.

The attack was "an obvious act of terrorism" aimed at the United States, the US ambassador to Turkey, Ross Wilson, said in Ankara. All US consulate staff were safe and accounted for, he said.

The White House condemned the attack and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, on a visit to Tblisi, voiced "deep regret" at the loss of life and highlighted the "very rapid and proper response" by Turkish officials.

The European Union pledged solidarity with Turkey and the United States in fighting terrorism.

Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay said police had identified the three dead attackers and said that two of them had a criminal record.

Records showed that one of the assailants had travelled abroad, but did not say which country he had gone to, he added.

The NTV news channel reported that police had found information linking the gunmen to Afghanistan, leading to suspicions that the attack was inspired by the Al-Qaeda network. Police refused to comment on the report.

A major police operation was underway to catch the fourth attacker who sped away from the scene.

"I do not think it will be long before we catch this man," Atalay said.

The police post was outside the consulate's main public entrance, from where steep steps lead up to the fortified building.

The consulate was moved to its current high-security location in 2003 as foreign missions across the world stepped up security measures following the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York.

Turkish officials also condemned the attack and the investigation was handed to prosecutors specialising in terrorism cases.

"I strongly condemn such terrorist acts," said President Abdullah Gul. "Turkey will fight to the end against those who are behind them."

Since the attack, security measures had already been strengthened at the consulate, said Wilson.

Extra measures had also been taken at the US embassy in Ankara and the consulate in the southern city of Adana, which is near a major Turkish air base often used by US aircraft, he added.

"We remain a close friend and ally of Turkey. We'll not be deterred in any way by terrorists who are seeking to strike at us or at US-Turkish relations," he said.

The most recent attack on a foreign mission in Turkey was in 2003 when Al-Qaeda militants detonated a car bomb at the British consulate in central Istanbul, and simultaneously attacked the British HSBC bank.

The British consul was killed in the attacks, which followed the bombings five days earlier of two synagogues in Istanbul. About 60 people were killed in the four blasts, the deadliest terrorist attacks in Turkey.

LOL. let me tell u guys the whole whole story of the 2 hamster,
Oncce upon a time,
Debbie went to wendy house, and found a big big cage inside the lift, so,
out of the curiosity, debbie tried to look inside, and saw a pathetic dead hamster, wendy called debbie to ignore it, but debbie think that there might be a alive one, and wendy said, if got alive one i will giv u 100 dollar , and, debbie search inside , and found a cute and alive hamster, they called chinying and me cause i am at chinying house, and we rushed to the tampinese mart mac, and found them with a big heavy large cage, a dried up hamster and a alive hamster, we actually wanted to "renew" them at the tampinese mart pet shop but the shop was closed, so we need to walk to the 201 there because the cage really stink, and we swop our duty of carrying the cage, cause it is damn heavy, finally, we reach the pet shop and tell the auntie about the hamster, the hay of hamster IS GROSS!! there's is somthing moving inside the cage lor, like worms..!! GRR !! so we bought a new hamster and the old dead hamster was thrown away, and the stink has gone away !! BrAVO !! we actually wanted to buy a new cage, but never cause, the auntie say very waste. hahahahhaa ..
and when prince xinting (LOL) encourage them to live happily, there is finally peace and they live happily ever after , The End (:
